What is CEPA?
The Certified Exit Planning Advisor program was specifically designed for business advisors who work closely with owners of privately held companies. The CEPA program is taught by the Exit Planning Institutes faculty and advisors and is the most widely accepted and endorsed professional exit planning program in the world. We both hold our CEPA designations and are excited to share our knowledge with you and other business like yours.
Sadly, we've witnessed too many owners work so hard in the business, yet come to the end of their career and find out the business doesn't reap the benefits nor is it ready enough to successfully transfer to a new owner. On the flip side, we've seen owners try to handle the business transition by themselves, without an experienced, integrated team, which usually results in leaving money on the table.
What has us excited about becoming a CEPA is that now, we have even more tools, methods, and approaches to help you and other business owners accelerate value and improve transition outcomes when that time comes.

- Understand the value of their business, both tangible and intangible
- Determine how ready and attractive their company is currently
- Identify the owner's three gaps (value, wealth, profit)
- Identify the Range of Value of an owner's company. What is it worth today and what is it potentially worth
- Understand their exit option s and how they apply to their company and exit goals
- Better understand their personal vision and personal financial needs
- Align their business, personal and financial goals
- Create, deliver and maintain 90-day action plans helping an owner de-risk their business and grow value
- Bring the advisory team together, and the owner's internal team together, to work towards common goals and better collaborate
